Chicago CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTHORITY 50TH ANNIVERSARY REMIX Cover

On August 30, Rhino reissued Chicago’s self-titled debut album, CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTHORITY, digitally and on CD...and before you complain, yes, it was self-titled, because that’s what the band was calling itself at the time. The version of the album that was reissued was the so-called 50th Anniversary Remix, one which was handled by mixing engineer Tim Jessup under the watchful eyes – and, one presumes, the listenful ears – of the band, and now that remix is also available as a double-LP on 180-gram vinyl.

If you’re not enough of a Chicago fan to remember which songs are on which albums, we’ll save you the trouble of Googling it and remind you that CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTHORITY is the one that includes “Beginnings,” “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?” and “Questions 67 and 68,” among other iconic tracks.

But, hey, why are we only limiting our answer to just the three most well-known songs? Here’s the full track listing, which – once more for the road – is now available on 180-gram vinyl in a record store or through an online music retailer near you!
