Snap, Crackle & How’s Your Dad? A Father’s Day Playlist

When we offered up our Mother’s Day mix last month, we described the holiday as “an annual opportunity for greeting card manufacturers and affiliated businesses to convince you that you should love your mother a little bit more on this particular Sunday than you do every other day of the year, and if you don’t…well, obviously, you’re a terrible, terrible child.”

But Father’s Day? Now that’s a real holiday!

Nah, we’re just kidding. We just wanted to see the moms freak out…and it was totally worth it. Now that we’ve given them an aneurysm, though, let’s get to that Father’s Day mix, shall we?

We scoured our vaults and came up with quite a few songs dedicated to fathers, dads, daddies, and even a papa or two, and we had a lot of fun doing it. We should probably warn you, though, that it starts to get a little depressing toward the end. Geez, who knew that half the songs about fathers were about them leaving? Thankfully, we steered it home to a happy ending, and given the musical variety we pulled together, we hope you enjoy the ride…and if you’re a dad, all of us here at Rhino hope that Sunday brings you the happiest of Father’s Days!
