If you were a fan of the 1996 film adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s novel Trainspotting, you’re not the only one. It’s a funny, frantic, and occasionally horrifying tale of friendship and drug addiction that helped cement the reputation of Danny Boyle as a great director and helped turn Ewan McGregor into a proper movie star. With the film’s sequel – yes, it’s called Trainspotting 2 – at long last completed and finally set to hit theaters in early 2017, Rhino has dipped into the archives to reissue TRAINSPOTTING: MUSIC FROM THE MOTION PICTURE on vinyl.

For those of you who follow music news, Stevie Nicks’ latest tour – one which finds her on the road with The Pretenders – has been widely reported as one for the ages, with Stevie’s set list stretching all the way back to a track from the long out-of-print BUCKINGHAM-NICKS album. Buckcherry – 15 –10th anniversary vinyl edition, Only available in the U.S., $19.98

Released in 2005 in Japan and 2006 in the US, 15 was somewhat of a new start for Buckcherry – the band had tweaked their lineup since they’d released their previous album, Time Bomb, in 2001 – and what a successful new start it was: the album went platinum, earned Mainstream Rock success with the single “Next 2 You,” and “Sorry” actually provided the band with their first and, to date, only top-10 hit.
